SENSITIVE ATLAS. Time, memory, and journey in the construction of the landscape

S/ 145.00

Time, memory and journey in the construction of the landscape.

The book is based on the author's sensitive and heartfelt effort to integrate the past with the contemporary occupation of the territory. It establishes an ongoing dialogue between universal knowledge determined by the modern Western paradigm and a latent ancestral wisdom. It is also an opportunity to project an alternative perspective on our territory and thereby contribute to the cultural construction of the landscape in Peru. It studies the Southern Interoceanic Highway (VIS), which crosses the country transversely, from the Pacific coast to the tripartite border with Brazil and Bolivia. A sort of "Humboldt section" that could be traveled by land for the first time in the history of Peru. Thus, the author decided that the first step was to explore it with an experiential and empirical approach in order to renew our perspective on the territory. This book is the result of that journey and consists of two parts: a more reflective first part, composed of essays, and a second part presented as a product. It is an open document to be completed by the reader or by the traveler who uses it when exploring this section of the Peruvian Andes.
