Videos of This Woman: Performance Records 1997-2010 is the first and eagerly awaited critical examination of Elena Tejada Herrera's work. Edited by Florencia Portocarrero , the publication compiles Tejada Herrera's work through an extensive portfolio specially designed by the artist and includes previously unpublished essays by Portocarrero ; the artist Armando Andrade Tudela ; and the curator Miguel A. López. The book also features a dossier of the artist's texts (originally published as a standalone edition in 1999) and a conversation between Tejada Herrera; the visual anthropologist Karen Bernedo ; the artist Claudia Coca; and the performer, teacher, and cultural promoter, Lorena Peña. The design Videos of This Woman: Performance Records 1997-2010 is the result of a collaboration between vm & estudio gráfico and the artist.

Elena Tejada-Herrera lives and works in Miami, USA. The artist has been awarded scholarships by the School of the Chicago Art Institute and by the Virginia Commonwealth University, obtaining two Masters in interdisciplinary media, new media and painting. Her work has been exhibited around the world and has earned her numerous awards, such as: the James Nelson Raymond Award (USA, 2013), the Grand Prix at the XIII International Film and Video Festival Parnu (Estonia, 2007) and the first prize of Passport for an Artist (Peru, 1999), among many others.
